Almost lost the plot(but not quite)

by lyndyloo @ 2007-09-08 - 20:26:03

I've had a bit of a break from my PC,for a few weeks. Its been a mad few weeks, quite challenging at times.I found out the first part time job i went for, back in June, should have phoned to offer me a second interview(I'm still waiting). Worse still because one of my daughters, has a good job,i wont receive any help with rent and council tax(bastards). I always believed that the state, was there to help, when it was genuinely needed. It was hard enough for me to ask,as i have always worked and paid my own way.I only wanted help until i started my job and uni.I've been penalized for leaving a full time dead-end job and going to do a degree to better myself. After many days of worrying myself sick, tears and tantrums
,I've got myself together, with the help of my family and come to the conclusion that, the state can stick their money where the sun don't shine
and can continue to dish it out to the work shy and dishonest people who pull up outside the dole office, in either their flash cars or work vans.

Anyway on a lighter note.
I have my health
4 fantastic children
Great family and friends
Uni starts on the 17th(yeahhh)

Sorry for any bad language.I feel so much better now lol.x

Awww, hugs, sorry to hear that the system is screwing you because of your daughter's income, it's not fair! oops, there I go, making that most basic of errors, fancy expecting fairness - no, it would never do for the honest hard working people who pay into the NI scheme to get anything out of it!
I'm that your little rant helped, and you reminded yourself of all the good stuff that you have going for you.
I think it is great that you decided to go to University and get qualified for a new line of work. I hope that I will be able to share the experience with you by reading all the ups and downs in your blog! Good luck for the 17th - bring it on eh?
